About Us

This is the official website of the Lincoln Lynx Alumni Association of Lincoln High School in Seattle, Washington. Even though the school closed in 1981 as Lincoln High School, the building was refurbished several years ago and has housed several Seattle schools while their buildings were being rebuilt or upgraded, including Ballard High School (1997-1999), Roosevelt High School (2004-2006), Garfield High School (2006-2008), and Hamilton International Middle School (2008-2010). The Lincoln APP school and a 1st to 5th grade school are currently using the building. The Mission of the Lincoln Lynx Alumni Association is to: • Promote and preserve the history of Lincoln High School of Seattle, Washington. • Promote activities that strengthen bonds between Lincoln graduates, attendees and staff • Provide scholarships to lineal descendants of Lincoln High School, Seattle, Washington graduates, attendees and staff. An Annual Luncheon is held every spring to bring together all classes, to share in the memories, and to promote the spirit of Lincoln High School. Lincoln alumni have participated in the Kiddies' Parade and St. Benedicts Wurst Festival. In 2007, we organized events to commemorate the school's 100th anniversary. We have recently established a Community Outreach Committee to make more connections with our LHS neighborhood. Let us know if you live locally and would like to be a part of that! The Totem II newspaper (usually 28 or 32 pages) is published three times a year and sent to all current paid members. It can be delivered in paper form or delivered electronically by email as a PDF file. Our members who do not live in the USA receive the PDF form unless special arrangements are made. The Totem II is packed with information of interest to all Lincoln alums as well as having a column specific to each class. There's a link to the recent Totem II on the Latest News page. As a non-profit organization, we are always looking for volunteers, whether it’s reviewing scholarship applications, getting in touch with alumni to verify contact information, product research and helping with merchandise sales to support our scholarship fund, or assisting with our Totem II newspaper.
