About Us
This is the official website of the Lincoln Lynx Alumni Association of Lincoln High School in Seattle, Washington. The school closed in 1981 but reopened as Lincoln High School, home of the Lynx, in the fall of 2019! The building was refurbished several years ago and housed several Seattle schools while their buildings were being rebuilt or upgraded, including Ballard High School (1997-1999), Roosevelt High School (2004-2006), Garfield High School (2006-2008), and Hamilton International Middle School (2008-2010). The building has now been renovated and is open for business. The"new" gym, as we knew it, and the auditorium have remained the same.
The Mission of the Lincoln Lynx Alumni Association is to:
An Annual Luncheon is held every spring to bring together all classes, to share in the memories, and to promote the spirit of Lincoln High School. Lincoln alumni have participated in the Wallingford Family Parade and St. Benedicts Wurst Festival. In 2007, we organized events to commemorate the school's 100th anniversary. We held an Alumni Open House on September 25, 2019 to celebrate the reopening and recently established a Community Outreach Committee to make more connections with our LHS neighborhood. Let us know if you live locally and would like to be a part of that!
The Totem II newspaper (usually 28 or 32 pages) is published two times a year and sent to all current paid members. It can be delivered in paper form or delivered electronically by email as a PDF file. Our members who do not live in the USA receive the PDF form unless special arrangements are made. The Totem II is packed with information of interest to all Lincoln alums as well as having a column specific to each class. If you are a LLAA member and have an email address you can access the Totem II by clicking on "Totem II Newspapers" at the top of any of the LLAA web pages and then enter your email address or just click here and enter your email address.
As a non-profit organization, we are always looking for volunteers, whether it's reviewing scholarship applications, helping with our annual All Class Luncheon, getting in touch with alumni to verify contact information, product research and helping with merchandise sales to support our scholarship fund, or assisting with our Totem II newspaper. We are currently looking for Class Representatives for the great classes of 1949, 1950, 1954, 1958, 1959, 1968, 1971 & 1978. Please contact us (click here) if you are interested.
